PE@EP Autumn Term 2025
Our children have such amazing enrichment opportunities in PE to enage in sport, physical activities and developing wider life skills.
Coach Martin and Coach Jessie carefully plan how children can engage in different games and activities across the year, to build not just physical strength and a foundation for lifelong activity, but also to develop lasting life skills.
This term's PE lessons have included a mix of invasion games, life skills and sports fundamentals
In invasion games such as netball. football and basketball, players try to invade the opponent's territory to score points whilst also defending their own. These games develop teamwork, ball control, scoring, and defending skills - they also bring much excitement!
Through sports fundamentals and games children focus on locomotion (running, jumping), stability (balance), body manipulation (throwing, catching), and object control (kicking, striking).
In Life Skills sessions qualities such as resilience, collaboration, self-belief, and problem solving are nurtured to help empower children to thrive both in school and in life.
